The technologies to clean water, generate solar power, and process food exist and are accessible everywhere around the world. What doesn't exist is the coordination layer that connects them into a self-sustaining economic engine that is owned by the community.
A smart card reader on a solar-powered reverse osmosis system doesn't just dispense clean water - it creates a digital interface, a transaction layer where women manage Sori Village and other family accounts instead of hauling water.
That interface and the revenues produced from it then becomes the coordination hub for ice production, blast chilling, food processing, soil building, and regional market access.
The innovation isn't the engineering. It's the digital coordination capacity that transforms infrastructure into market operations that pay for themselves while passively restoring the lake.
Each piece exists on its own anywhere in the world. The plan is to wire them into a single loop where the water pays for the cold chain, the cold chain pays for the market access, and the market access funds the next build - owned by Sori, start to finish.

This is not a village waiting to be rescued. Walter and the leaders around him already have wins behind them and a clear plan in front of them. The one thing missing is the same thing missing in Kakuma: reliable communication capacity to coordinate the build and hold their own in the rooms where decisions get made.
RIA's job is to back the operator directly and get out of the way - not to route this through a chain of outsiders who take a cut of the attention and steer the work toward their own interests. What Sori builds, Sori owns. We structure for the exit to the community, never dependency on us or anyone else.
Sori sits at one end of a single thesis, and Kakuma sits at the other. Sori has water everywhere and can't drink it - a coordination and treatment problem beside the largest freshwater lake in Africa. Kakuma, in Kenya's arid north, has the opposite condition: not enough water, a problem of storage and recharge, not filtration.
Opposite water conditions, identical gate. In both places the hardware and the knowledge already exist; what's missing is the coordination capacity that turns them into something a community runs itself. Fix that gate in a refugee camp with a bag, or in a lakeside village with a full build - it's the same move at two scales.
The lake is right there.
